Roses on the Farm
This Rose is called Lavaglut. It grows very tall.
When we first moved to our property in Fairhope, AL, we found a wonderful nursery in the area. At Taylor’s Roses you can find numerous varieties of roses. What is This Alpaca Doing?
I can’t count how many times a new alpaca breeder has seen this in her field and called me hysterical. “Fluffy is down in the pasture! She’s not moving! She looks dead! What do I do?” I usually ask a few questions to help determine the cause of Fluffy’s prostrate posture. “Is it sunny?” and most importantly, “Have you walked up on her? You know, to see if she’ll get up?” The new breeder always comes back to the phone to report that once she walked up to the alpaca, the alpaca stood up. What is with this behavior?
