Thanks for your comment! Alpacas can be pets if they are cared for properly. They require shearing once a year and must be kept cool in the summer. Shade and fans work well. Also, alpacas must be kept with at least one other alpaca because they have a very strong herd instinct. Alpacas are great for people who love their fiber or who do 4-H with kids.
