Tervis Tumbler Giveaway

This is my cup. I start each and every day with diet coke in my insulated cup. The colorful sequins put a song in my heart, a little pep in my step. Occasionally I will borrow my son’s cup which has the Mardi Gras colored confetti. (He is a nut about Mardi Gras. More on that in February!) But I use this cup EVERY DAY.

So what has me changing cups this weekend?

The Texas Longhorns, that’s what!

My dear, sweet Mamma gave me these cups a couple of years ago for my birthday. Just because I’m only dragging them out when Texas becomes ranked #1 in both the AP and Coaches’ Polls doesn’t mean I’m a fair weather fan. In fact, I am a UT grad who has, in the past, named alpacas “Vin-Sanity” (after Vince Young for those of you who don’t follow football, he’s a football player) and “Major Applewhite”. Get ready for a little “Colt” to be pronking around in the fields this Fall.

These cups are the greatest! Virtually indestructible, they keep drinks cold and the glass doesn’t sweat, protecting my fine antique furniture. To celebrate the Texas Longhorns #1 ranking, I am giving away a set of 4 – 16oz. Tervis Tumblers. The winner can choose tumblers from either the Glitter category which includes Christmas, Mardi Gras, Springtime, or Multi (my cup above), or any available Collegiate teams. The contest will end at 11pm (EST) on Monday, October 20, 2008.

To enter, leave a comment telling me either: 1) why you agree that the Longhorns are the best college football team in the land (if you disagree – feel free to keep it to yourself, or 2) which cup you will choose if you win! Leaving a comment will earn you one entry. You can earn two additional entries by posting this giveaway on your own blog. Be sure to tell me if you do so. I look forward to checking out your blog. The winner will be chosen at random.

Great tumblers! I won’t argue with you about the Texas Longhorns since I don’t follow sports, but you seem pretty darn sure of it so I will go along with you. I adore the multi colored glitter tumblers!

Well I am a native Texan so I will not disagree about the Longhorns even though I do not follow college football.
I so need these glasses. I live in Florida and insulated glasses are the only way to go. Most of mine are starting to crack/leak internally so I have slowly been weeding them out. I am down to only a few. I would love to have the Mardi Gras glitter collection.

Jackie B – I hear you. They say they will take them back and give you new ones if they crack or leak. I haven’t ever sent any back though. Seems like too much trouble, but then FREE replacements would be great. Anyone ever sent any back? Give us the scoop!

I haveen on your blog before- I think I have youlisted in the farm girl section…I love anyboy else you lives on a farm or ranch and is crazy about animals and the country!
Now, I have to admit, my husband is the football junkie. Not me. He did let me on the fantasy football tem, but that’s really just for show. He chooses, I have nothing at all to do with it, excpet claim glory when we win *U*
I also shudder at the thought of diet cok for brakfast! Have mercy my dear! Come over here so I can rehab you. (like I should talk- I drink coffee, but decaf now)

I will not comment about the football team you mention. I am a native Texan and attended a branch of Texas A&M. Gig 'em Aggies.
I remember when the school up at Tuscaloosa stole Coach Bryant from Texas A&M.
Being an Aggie, I have to ask: How does the plastic Tervis Tumbler know whether to keep your drink hot or cold? Does it have a built in computer? If so, I assume it is powered by a solar cell or a battery since I do not see a power cord. Wow, what will they think of next?

Wait a minute! I can agree on a technicality. I’ve seen Longhorns by the side of the road and why yes, they do rule! They are very cute moo moo’s.

I’ve got my eye on those Texas Longhorns – my sister lives in Texas and I have all sorts of Texas paraphenalia – shirts, acutting board and pasta shaped like the state of Texas. I could drink my diet coke out of them while wearing one of my many Texas T-shirts.
