You are so there girlfriend! Oh yeah! She's the alpaca farm girl! Whoo hoo! Whoo hoo! I love the part about the donuts. My vet loves to each sandwiches while giving my horses palpations (entire arm...up to the shoulder... inside the rearend of the horse). I laugh and laugh and crack every joke I can think of about "I like big butts and I cannot lie"! I think he does it now for my enjoyment. :o)

Anyway, you totally rock! Keep up the good work for our little friends!

Katy,
Not only is Bennie doing fine, but he definitely has the "big man in town" attitude. He watches everything that goes on here at the farm. And his stance tells it all---""I am the main man here! Thanks for sharing his story with everyone.

I can relate! I was an AG major at Texas Tech. We were studying the digestive system of bovines (cows). We had a "window" (with a clear screw cap arrangement) in a cows fourth stomach. You could unscrew the cap and look (or even reach into)the digestive processes. Think stinky cement mixer. When it came my turn to look in, the cow coughed just as I got really really close. Really hard to get rid of the smell with no way to change clothes for a few of hours. I also worked at a meat packing plant and worked on the kill floor in the afternoons. Right after lunch.
(been there smelled that)

Isn't amazing the "grossness" we can overcome in our quest for agricultural success. I breastfed my babies in the swine barn of the state fair--sitting in an empty pen right next to the boars.
