Fiber Arts Friday Carnival!
Above: Female Alpaca and Cria. Needlefelted by Featured Fiber Artist Gay Moller of Lallybroch Alpacas
Welcome to Fiber Arts Friday! I am excited about hosting the Fiber Arts Friday Carnival. I can’t wait to look through the works of the many talented fiber artists on the internet. Each week we will feature a Fiber Artist. Let me know if you are interested in being featured in an upcoming Fiber Arts Friday post.
To participate:
- Add the permalink to a specific blog post that features something Fiber Art related, not your general blog address.
- Link back to Fiber Arts Friday from your post so that your readers can come and see everyone else’s projects!
- Visit as many of the other participants as possible and leave comments! That’s what helps us all connect!
- Double-check to make sure your link works and goes to the right page so it doesn’t get deleted.

Thanks for inviting me to join Fiber Arts Friday Carnival. I write a blog about “fiber and textiles in art, culture, and life.” My blog is about natural fibers, applications, trends, and the people who create. I often feature guest artists who create various forms of fiber art. I will soon be launching my own website for my handwovens made with natural fiber, mostly alpaca – its the greatest!

Thank you for the invitation to join the Carnival. It’s great to see the growing appreciation for fiber, handmade textiles and textile arts. I love playing in fibers and try to spread the knowledge and techniques of the avocation I love.

Love alpacas. I saw lots of them on a trip to Peru a couple of years ago. Super cute.

Aw shucks, now I’m all overcome with embarrassment at your super comments. I only do about one needle felted piece a year as I spend most of my time outdoors caring for these wonderful creatures which have completely taken over our lives. After all your complements I had better try to make more time for craft work. I was particularly delighted with the little blue eyed boy as most of my faces come out really craggy and ugly and with him I finally managed cute.
Cheers from New Zealand,
Gay

Hi Gay – such FUN and thanks for hosting. I’ve been looking for a way and method to, consistently, update my projects and this is it! Or, as they say around here… “this is hit!”
I’ll get started this Friday but, until then, will have fun visiting the other blogs.
Thanks again!

Now here’s a great idea…online classes for fiber arts! Next week I will be listing several classes to be offered by different fiber artisans. How nice to be able to take a course to enhance your fiber art skills right at home. Check out the courses next week on Bonnie Samuel Designs Blog.
Also listing upcoming shows in the midwest for weavers and fiber artisans.
