MAYBE IT IS JUST THIS ONE PICTURE, BUT TO ME
THE PIC OF MIMOSA LOOKS LIKE A SHOW ANIMAL IN THE MAKING. CONFIRMATION, BEARING AND FLEECE.
AT WHAT AGE DO YOU BEGIN TRAINING CRIA TO HALTER?

Mac McFatters last blog post..She knew, or did she?

    Katy:

Thanks y’all! I think they are cute, too.

Mac, Mimosa does have that “Look at ME!” presence that we like to see in our show animals. She is very curious, always aware of her surroundings, particularly the humans. Mimosa is also interesting because she is very independent. I hardly ever see her with her mom. She is joined at the hip with Dexter. They play constantly. She gains weight and I see her nursing occasionally, but she is her own girl. We usually begin halter training after weaning, around 6 months of age.

I love all the photos. Alpaca babies are the cutest. So what’s the total count? Seven? Wish I had the room for alpacas.

Wonderful, the Flutterby flock would love to visit any sheepy cousins you might knit and say hello to your adorable alpacas. Forget teddy bears, I’ll cuddle one of these!
