Angora Giveaway

Welcome to another Giveaway during Alpaca Bunny Smackdown week! This Giveaway is donated by Lynn (@Sheepmama) whose beloved bunny, Nougat, donated the fiber for this week’s contest with the alpaca.
This Giveaway is for 1/2 oz. angora fiber from Nougat! It is super soft and lustrous. Lynn took the above photo of it from her iPhone. In fact she tells me she does everything, blogging, tweeting, etc. from her phone rather than a computer. Amazing. Remember when phones had to be dialed? …feeling old. Back to the giveaway.
To enter, leave a comment telling us what you would do with this lovely bit o’ fluff from our hero, Nougat bunny. For an extra entry, you may tweet about the giveaway once a day. Use #AlpacaBunnySmackdown in your tweet. You may also blog about it for an additional entry. Please leave a separate comment for each entry. Contest closes at midnight on Friday, August 7th (CST). Good Luck!

Awwww…. Bunny fluff.
I truly am in the bunny camp of this smackdown. There are few things cutter in this world than a little bundle of bunny love.
Nougat was very kind in donating such lovely fur. I think it would be beautiful mixed with some cashmere and spun into a golden thread.

Wow I would love to spin this little bit o’ bun all by itself. Just to see those colors blend together! But I am also so impressed with the photo that I might seriously need to get an IPhone!!

Bun-Bun fluff? What would I do with it? Why I would pet it, and love it and call it George, oh yes I would.
I would totally keep it away from the Pigs so they wouldn’t get their rotten Pig Kid snot on it that’s for darn sure!!!

Well, first I would have to find someone to spin it for me! Then, I would use the lovely angora as an inside layer for soft, warm earwarmer headbands! Love angora!

Just might try my hand at spinning. Luv working with Angora to knit and might just make another sweater for my Yorkie Ginger with a bit of angora fluff here and there. She loves her sweaters in our NE Ohio winters.

#alpacabunnysmackdown. Only supposed to be 96 here today. The bunny fiber makes me think of cool, crisp evenings. Better turn the AC off, feel almost cold–it’s a refreshing thought–want my bunny.

I wish I may, I wish I might spin this beautiful angora tonight! Oh, what a wonderful day it would be to have the lovely angora to spin along with my gorgeous suri. I have wanted to blend angora with my suri since I first felt angora. I have the perfect suri fleece to blend it with too.
Fingers crossed! I am going to blog about this new obsession now to get another entry!

Ohhhh, it looks beeyooooteefull. I’d spin it by itself so as not to dilute it’s gorgeous-ness, but then probably ply it with a complimentary solid color, so as to make the angora go as far as possible.

Oh yum…there is NOTHING like the color of a red rabbit, especially a Satin..and Angora? Dear.
I’d spin this fine and ply with a glittery golden thread, then knit into a lovely little neckpiece that will halo like mad…so soft and warm and GORGEOUS!
To stretch, one could always spin it finer, then threeply with the thread and a ply of alpaca…

I love both angora and alpaca. I’ve spun alpaca but not angora and I ‘d love to try it. Pick me, pick me, please pick me!

I would LOVE to blend this angora with hair I’m saving from Lucy’s brush. My Lucy is a med/long hair deep[almost blk]chocolate cat, and I’m saving all the discarded hair from her brush. Going to card it soon, for spinning [drop spindle] and would LOVE to blend some of Nougat’s in with hers. I’m looking to knit a lace scarf with it one day soon.

What a quaint fluff. I would use my hand spindle to spin it up, leave it with its natural colors, and use it in an art piece of some type!

What a great spotlight for two wonderful fibers! I would blend Nougat’s lovely fiber with 1/4 ounce super crimpy Huacaya fiber in similar color and 1/4 ounce tussah silk roving…then knit a very open pattern scarf. Floaty, dreamy, absolutely luxurious! Thanks for the fun blog!
