Fiber Arts Friday – Autumn Colors
This week I’ve been dyeing alpaca yarn and fiber using Fall colors. Since we live in the South, summers are our most challenging season on the farm. This makes Autumn my favorite season. It brings such a welcome relief from the seemingly endless hot, humid days.
What better way to revel in the season than creating fiber products that reflect its beauty?
My dyed yarns and fiber can be found in my Etsy shop.

Love this time of year and all the beautiful colors of fall. Katy, the dyed yarns are perfect..they inspire warmth and the need for an open pit fire and roasted marshmallows. By the way it’s going to be almost 90 degrees here today so we may have to hold off on the fire for a few days!

Autumn is my favorite time of the year, too. Up here in Wisconsin the colors of fall are fantastic. Not just the trees-there is a field of something, not sure what, growing just down the road and its the most beautiful shade of rusty orange. I keep meaning to take a picture of it(but forget my camera all the time) so I can try to dye some wool the same color. I plan to pack my camera and get out for a fall color ride tomorrow. Hope the weather cooperates.
