More Baby Phoenix…
The story of our new alpaca baby, Phoenix, was so popular yesterday that I thought I’d share some more pictures of his first day.
Phoenix’s dam is not so sure…
My little girl knows to be wary. Alpaca dams may spit, but Tapioka just sniffed her.
He’s looking for his “noonie” (as we call it). But…those are her front legs, Phoenix. Not to worry, he later figured it out.

While the little guy may have had an incredibly shaky start, he’s doing great! He gained almost a pound yesterday.

He’s just so cute & I love that he had to figure out the “noonie” from the legs, LOL.

Awww, I’m glad he’s doing well. On the “foal cams” they call “noonie” the “milk bar!” LOL! I’m glad he figured out the right spot soon enough.

What a little cutie! Do you use the Alpacas to make your own yarn? I noticed you had one recent crochet project and was wondering. I love to crochet and share many patterns over at my blog if you are a crocheter.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas on this WW!

Wow! That was a close one! He seems to be just fine now. I was reading the story with a sinking heart, after Another Blogger friend lost her baby cria after 24 hours. A phoenix for sure!!!
