My friend, Leigh Thomas of Hill Country Alpacas in Texas makes the cutest beanies from alpaca! She raises awesome alpacas, and she uses their fiber to make lovely products too. She knits these beanies, felts them, and adds the cutest embellishments. See for yourself.

Fiber Arts Friday

During the World Alpaca Conference I had the chance to stop by my friend Holly William’s vendor booth. Holly is from Lasso the Moon Alpaca Farm. She is a talented glass and fiber artist. Holly’s latest favorite is nuno felting.

Holly also teaches fiber arts classes, including needlefelting, nuno felting, and wet felting. She and her husband, Courtney, are wonderful people. I can’t think of a trip that would be more fun than visiting their alpaca farm and learning new fiber arts skills.

Fiber Arts Friday

Welcome to Fiber Arts Friday! Next week we will have Mr.Linky set up so that you can link us with your Fiber Arts post or web page. We are looking forward to showcasing the many different fiber arts and all of our readers’ amazing projects.

Today we are featuring Mariann’s felted hats. Mariann is a fiber artist, mom, and athlete. You can visit her at Big Horn Mountain Alpacas in Wyoming. She can make these felted hats with your fiber or you can purchase those made from her fiber. They come in a variety of styles. So many things can be done with alpaca fiber!
