Fiber Arts Friday

EllensMeter

Today’s Fiber Arts Friday is a follow-up to the Public Knitting Art Fiber Arts Friday post from July 31st. Ellen sent me this photo (above) of the knitted parking meter cozies that she did for the 69 Meters Project. (photo by Jonathan Hökklo). Ellen has been a Fiber Arts Friday participant in the past. She blogs at Someone Keeps Moving My Chair and is @ellenronnie on Twitter. Send her a tweet and let her know if you like her knittin’!

I also found this picture of the Knitta Please knitted bus. Some call this “Yarnbombing“. How cool is that?

Speaking of cool, I have to tell you about a seriously rowdy (in a great way) knitting group. They call themselves the Zombie Prom Date Knitters. (If you’re a member please tell us more in the comments) And look–>! They clean up highways AND make them purtier with their knitting!!!

These ladies seems like they have a LOT of fun, and I appreciate their irreverance. My pre-teen daughter seems to think that everyone who knits is old-fashioned and pushing 80. This group of knitters proves that idea false. They are anything but stodgy. Read more about their exploits on the Knit with Snot Blog. (see what I mean?)

What sorts of fiber-y things have you been up to this week? Share them with us below!
